Hotel Hotel Canberra, Canberra, Australia

Hiya! To be honest, I am a little bit nervous when I am creating this blog especially when a friend of mine, Nurul is suggesting me to do something specific about hotel review (haven't really decided tho). Yep, hotel has already being a familiar thing in my life since I started my employment as a reporter and editor at the biggest local lifestyle magazine in Medan, Indonesia. Another stuff I overthink right now is the fact that I have not been writing anything like this for over 5 years. As Pramoedya Ananta Tour once said that you can be a smart person as high as the sky, but if you did not write anything, you therefore will be drowned in the history. Bloop bloop bloop goes with the poop, lol.

I have been to almost all states in Australia and couple business trips have sent me to stay in several flash hotels like Hilton Brisbane, The Grace Hotel Sydney, Mantra Surfer's Paradise Gold Coast, a studio room in Mantra Russel in Melbourne (while on personal trip I chose to stay in Tune or Holiday Inn, lol), Ibis in Adelaide, and the magnificent condominium room in Fraser Suites Perth. However, the one which I love the most is Hotel Hotel Canberra which located in 25 Edinburgh Ave, New Acton, Canberra, ACT, Australia.

After 3 hours road trip from Sydney, I went to the hotel to check into my room. I expect nothing but a good quality shower and comfortable bed, because the next day will be a long day to visit University of Canberra and University of Canberra College at Bruce campus. Life is truly like a box of chocolate. I walked into the hotel and I found something different. It looks so edgy, hip, and a boutique type in a luxurious way.

Their staffs are really friendly. Even though this is a boutique hotel kinda thing, but the compulsory hotelier things are still there. I do really like this hotel's bathroom as well as the premium toiletries they provide for the guest. It's Aesop, yeay perfect!

All and all, my first stay here was impeccable and closed really nicely with Hotel Hotel's honey crumpet and nummie hot coffee late. Plus plus plus, they got a beautiful addition where one of a kind Max Brenner is just in the next door! An AU$6 dark hot chocolate with marshmallow served in a hug mug. Ah well, I would definitely go back to Canberra even only to stay in this hotel.

Oh, did you know that currently Canberra is transforming into an edgy and boutique city? Check @enlighten_canberra on Instagram. It looks mind-blowing!
